Top-10 finish with All Stars in 4-Crown Nationals at Eldora Speedway
Pulling double duty in the 41st running of the 4-Crown Nationals presented by NKTELCO, Ryan Timms ventured to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Friday to compete with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series and the USAC National Midget Series.
His night was over in the 410 Sprint Car ranks after finishing 14th in his B-Main but he was able to race into the USAC National Midget feature with a heat race victory. Dropping three spots in the 25-lapper, Timms posted a 10th-place finish.
Qualifying for both features on Saturday, Ryan secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions sanctioned A-Main with a fourth-place result in his heat. Hanging onto a top-10 finish in the 30-lap affair, Timms crossed the line in 10th.
Following a heat race triumph on Saturday aboard the Keith Kunz / Curb-Agajanian Motorsports No. 67 Midget, Ryan rolled to his third top-10 of the weekend with an eighth-place showing.
Ryan is currently fifth in the latest USAC Midget National Championship point standings.
On Tuesday, Timms stopped at Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) where he raced into the $50,000-to-win High Limit Sprint Car Series-sanctioned Commonwealth Clash with a runner-up run in his heat. With a sixth-place showing in the seven-lap Dash positioning him on the third row for the A-Main, Ryan got turned upside down on the eighth circuit while running sixth, ending his night early.
