Timms finishes sixth in Xtreme Outlaw Series finale

The final weekend with the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series brought Ryan Timms and company to Jacksonville (IL) Speedway for the two-day Ron Milton Race of Champions.

Against 32 competitors, Timms rocketed into the weekend opener on Friday with a runner-up heat showing. Taking green in fourth, Ryan wasted no time moving forward as he raced to the lead on the third circuit. After pacing the ensuing 22 laps, Timms was collected in a last-lap tangle following a failed slider attempt that sent him around. He was scored 15th in the final rundown.

On Saturday, Ryan’s sixth-to-third heat showing positioned him on the sixth row for the series finale. Chasing a $5,000 payday, Timms improved six positions to cap off the weekend with a sixth-place finish.

Ryan finished second in the final Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series point standings.
