Ryan Timms Scores Three Wins in Knoxville and Huset’s Sweep
Claims Corn Belt Clash Victories in Both 360 and 410 Divisions
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (06/02/25) – Ryan Timms continued his stellar start to the season this past weekend, scoring three feature wins in as many starts—including a sweep of the Corn Belt Clash—at the famed Sprint Car Capital of the World.
The 18-year-old piloted the Hampel Oil / West River Trailer Sales & Service No. 10 Maxim Chassis, powered by Speedway Engine Development, to victories in both the 360 and 410 Sprint Car divisions at Knoxville Raceway on Friday and Saturday. He then capped the weekend with a dominant, flag-to-flag triumph in Sunday’s main event at Huset’s Speedway.
“There at the beginning, I felt really good,” said Timms in Knoxville’s Victory Lane on Saturday night. “I was just kind of staying the same pace as everyone else, and we had the (yellow) and I was wondering to myself why we were the same speed as everyone else. I came to the conclusion I just wasn’t running it hard enough. After that restart, luckily the two guys in front of me went to the bottom, and I was able to go around there and into third. I was very happy to see both the McCarl’s move down, and I was just able to get my momentum built up and get comfortable up there. We were able to get it done. It’s pretty unreal, I never thought I’d be standing here with four wins. I think it just says how fast this car is every night. It’s awesome.”
Timms’ extended weekend began Friday in Iowa with the 360 Sprint Car division, as Knoxville Raceway hosted the opening night of the Corn Belt Clash doubleheader. After advancing two positions to finish fourth in his heat race, Timms outpaced brothers Austin and Carson McCarl in the 18-lap feature to collect the $2,000 preliminary payday.
Shifting to the 410 ranks on Saturday, Timms secured a spot in the main event with a fourth-to-second run in his heat. Once in the feature, he found speed along the cushion and powered past Austin McCarl on lap nine, cruising to his third consecutive victory at the iconic half-mile oval. The win was worth $6,000, bringing his Knoxville weekend total to $8,000.
On Sunday, Timms completed the weekend sweep in dominant fashion at Huset’s Speedway. After finishing second in his heat, he led all 25 laps of the feature to secure the flag-to-flag victory.
“Any time you win one race it’s awesome let alone three in the same weekend,” Timms said in Huset’s SeaFoam Victory Lane. “I’m just really happy we were able to get that one out of the way. I feel like I improve a lot every time we hit the track. It’s awesome winning. It’s great winning. I’m super excited and hopefully we can keep going.”

Timms is set for a busy week as the team returns to action Wednesday at Jackson Motorplex with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series. The tour continues with stops at Plymouth Dirt Track on Friday and Beaver Dam Raceway on Saturday, before heading to South Dakota on Sunday, where Timms will resume his pursuit of the track championship at Huset’s Speedway.
