Timms drives to World of Outlaws Hard Charger at Lawton Speedway

Ryan Timms made the short trip to Lawton (OK) Speedway over the weekend to pilot the Liebig Motorsports No. 10 Sprint Car for the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series-sanctioned Sooner State Showdown.

Though his evening got off to a slow start, Timms made a strong recovery, finishing fourth in the Last Chance Showdown to secure a spot in the main event. Pinned on the 11th row for the $12,000-to-win Sooner State Showdown, Ryan marched forward 10 spots in the 35-lapper to record a 12th-place finish. His impressive performance earned him the KSE Racing Products Hard Charger Award, his third of the season with the national series.

Saturday's scheduled event at 81 Speedway (Park City, Kan.) was cancelled by race officials due to extreme winds.
