Ryan Timms podiums at Knoxville and Huset's
After Thursday’s C & B Border Battle opener was rained out, Ryan Timms returned to Jackson Motorplex on Friday for night two of the weekend doubleheader.
Competing against 23 Midwest Sprint Touring Series entries, Timms kicked off the evening with a heat race victory. However, his night was cut short when a motor failure during the dash sidelined him from the feature.
Bouncing back on Saturday at Knoxville Raceway, Timms charged from sixth to second in his heat and continued his momentum in the 25-lap feature, climbing three spots to finish third—joining winner Rico Abreu and runner-up Brian Brown on the podium.
He capped the weekend with another podium performance on Sunday at Huset’s Speedway, scoring a strong third-place finish during the final night of the rain-shortened Border Battle.
