Ryan Timms sweeps weekend in Montana and South Dakota; Huset's triple on deck
Ryan Timms and Liebig Motorsports have been on an unstoppable tear, and there's no signs of slowing down. In fact, the young man out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, went three-for-three during the recent weekend, sweeping ASCS National Tour competition at Big Sky Speedway in Billings, Montana, before winning the 410 main event at Huset's Speedway on Sunday, August 24.
Timms, the reigning Knoxville Nationals champion, highlighted his weekend with a $15,000 score at Big Sky - the Harvey Ostermiller Memorial weekend finale on Saturday, August 23. It was a 30-for-30 effort, leading every circuit for a ninth-career ASCS National Tour triumph.
“We just got it figured out this weekend,” Timms said following his Big Sky sweep. “It was a really good weekend. This car — it was just on rails every night, every time we hit the track. It was just so fast. It made my job a lot easier. It was really run to come and race with ASCS and get two wins.
“It’s really just unbelievable,” Timms continued. “It’s really relieving to have a car that I can be this confident in and do what I’ve been doing in."
As mentioned, Timms concluded his weekend with a 410 sprint car victory at Huset's Speedway, rallying ahead from sixth on the A-Main grid. Timms' win count now stands at 15, setting aim on three-straight days at Huset's Speedway beginning Friday, August 29.
The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will take center stage on Saturday and Sunday, August 30-31.
