Ryan Timms victorious in Port Royal's Tuscarora 50 for $58,000
Ryan Timms did it again, a phrase that has been common in 2025, this time victorious in Port Royal Speedway's 58th running of the Tuscarora 50 on Saturday, September 6. Timms, who started eighth on the High Limit Racing 50-lap grid, charged to the lead just beyond the midpoint, eventually stretching his command to seven seconds. The win would earn the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, native a $58,000 payday, becoming the first driver since Kenny Weld in 1973 and Doug Wolfgang in 1985 to conquer the Knoxville Nationals and Tuscarora 50 in the same year.
Timms' Tuscarora 50 preliminary effort included the fastest qualifying time within his respective group, racing on to finish third in his respective heat race. Fifty entries made the call for the Central Pennsylvania blockbuster, bettering all of High Limit's finest, as well as the notorious Pennsylvania Posse.
Ryan Timms and Liebig Motorsports are scheduled to continue their 2025 campaign with the two-day Jackson Nationals at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minnesota, on Friday and Saturday, September 19-20. To learn more, visit Jackson online at www.jacksonmotorplex.com.
