Ryan Timms joins Greatest Show On Dirt for National Open, Awarded Rookie of the Race
Although unable to conquer another one of Central Pennsylvania's premier open wheel events, "Flyin'" Ryan Timms out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, did the next best thing and secured a top-ten finish, doing so in Williams Grove Speedway's $75,000 National Open featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on Saturday, October 4. Timms, the reigning Knoxville Nationals and Tuscarora 50 champion, finished tenth in his top-ten outcome, maintaining his place within the frontrunners after commencing the 40-lapper from the exact same position. A third-place finish in the third heat race secured his A-Main appearance. In addition, Ryan Timms was awarded Rookie of the Race presented by Beerhill Gang.
Sheldon Haudenschild raced on to win the $75,000 National Open. There were over 50 cars entered with not only the Greatest Show On Dirt represented, but the infamous Pennsylvania Posse, led by Danny Dietrich who finished second.
Timms is scheduled to continue his 2025 campaign with a High Limit Racing doubleheader at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, on Friday and Saturday, October 10-11. To learn more, visit High Limit Racing online at www.highlimitracing.com.
