Timms second with Greatest Show On Dirt at 81 Speedway; I-55 on deck
"Flyin'" Ryan Timms did his best to conquer the best Saturday night at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas, but when the final checkers finally flew, he was one spot short, finishing second to Buddy Kofoid in the World of Outlaws Tallgrass Tussle.
Timms, who calls Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, home, was on a rail the entire evening, finishing second in his respective heat race before racing on to finish second in the evening's dash. In fact, his only non-podium appearance was in qualifying time trials where the reigning Knoxville Nationals and Tuscarora 50 champion timed fourth in Flight B.
Timms' result at 81 Speedway was the perfect rebound, as his weekend commenced with a 20th-place score at US 36 Raceway in Osborn, Missouri, on Friday, March 27; he started in the exact same position.
