Ryan Timms
Timms the king of Sprint Car Capital; Knoxville and Huset's ahead
Oklahoma City's "Flyin'" Ryan Timms was the man to beat Saturday night at the Sprint Car Capital of the World, and unable to beat is what he remained, winning Knoxville Raceway's 2026 season opener over Austin McCarl and Sheldon Haudenschild. For Timms, the reigning Knoxville Nationals champion aboard the Liebig Motorsports No. 10, his efforts were nearly flawless from start to finish, recording the second-fastest time in his respective group of qualifiers before racing on to a runner-up finish in the second of four heat races.
As noted, Timms is certainly no stranger to success at the famed Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, recording back-to-back World of Outlaws podiums one week prior to the Knoxville points opener.
Ryan Timms and Liebig Motorsports will return to Knoxville on Saturday, May 9, all before making a road trip to Huset's Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, on Sunday, May 10.
